Apple has posted a new Santa Claus ad based in the Get a Mac campaign. The ad, now on Apple's homepage, features charactertures of the Mac and PC guys with Santa Clause in an animation singing Santa Claus is coming to town. Mac starts off singing "You better watch out, you better not cry..." and when PC sings his verse, he says: "So buy a PC and not a Mac this Holiday season or any other time for goodness sake."

I am not going to lie yes i am a windows user and windows 7 seems to be working great ive had it 2 years :D no crashes and never had a virus so you cant exactly say windows suck either

@cooldude89012 how are they all lies? Slight exaggerations maybe, but that's to prove apple's point. The term "PC" has alway referred to a Windows computer, even before Linux came around. It's just what everybody understands. They're not going to say: Hey, I'm OS X and I'm Windows, because they're not selling OS X to PC users, they're selling Macs. And they cannot compare a Mac to an Operating System. Also, they're not the ones that made a shitty OS and promotes it instead of fixing it

@supernoob26 no, that's not true for viruses. Viruses are only a Windows phenomena, the way Windows is scripted (along with the crappy NT kernel) makes it filled with holes (figuratively) so a malicious program can install onto your PC and reproduce to everyone on your network or to everyone in your contacts without you even knowing it

only reason macs dont get viruses is because people dont make them for macs cause pc is liked more and more people have pc's so they cant get more out of it ( i.e. credit card info )

@cooldude89012 Also in the advertisement ad, they were making fun of MS's windows "mohajue" campaign, where people were surprised at how good vista was. That money would've been better spent fixing Vista instead, apple did not have anything to fix, so they just made advertisements
