  • Texas map turtles are an unusual species, they've adapted to handle so many of those smaller streams that feed the larger river. In the past the Pedrenales was really clear, but my last visit it wasn't. I imagine you've been searching for this turtle. How far up the Colorado do you find it? I wish Cagles map turtle was so prolific in the smaller streams.
