its dojang not dojo and this is the sport of tkd. not a real fight.

its olympic style taekwondo so u dont punch because its all about kicking and against stronger opponents which make it to olympic tryouts and competitions you would not want to block their kicks because you would probably break your arm which has happened before in competitions ive seen its more effective to dodge by side stepping and such which leaves your opponent more off balance especially if u jump back while they do a turn kick which they would overshoot :P *example*

dude... its not the style that makes the person... its the person that makes the style. thats like saying, Sambo owns everything because fedor owns everybody, and his backround is sambo... so what you said, you really cant compare, cause im sure there are other very good karate fighters (coming from a guy who train tkd...)

dude its not "karate" its "taekwondo" and japan needs to stop copying koreans.korea owns japan .and taekwondo owns karate
-
Remember how Georges St-Pierre (Welterweight Champ) basically destroyed Jon Fitch on Aug 7 (karate background)...

If you've no clue, newbie, or plain moron, stop bashing other martial arts. As "Pancitkanton25" stated, A. Silva got his basis from TKD. Bas Rutten started out with TKD. Many of the Dutch K-1 fighters started out with TKD. Besides, I don't see any "Karate" moves by GSP in UFC matches, except ending up in a hospital after BJ Penn fight. Moreover, at 6'1" GSP cuts weight like spams going out of business. Most people he fight are much smaller than him. He should step up and fight A. Silva.

Honestly does it matter? If you Karate guys are so tough why do you ahve to bash other MA? Sounds to me like you are insecure or something...Maybe the tough UFc Karate guy needs some love!

anderson silva dude, his foundation is tkd at the age of 17, after that muay thai and BJJ.

yup. little if any punching, when u jump back u put ur hand up to block thats it though. never try to block.
If you've ever been kicked by one of these people then you'll know why you'd rather hug than get destroyed!
