Romance (Romanza) for Piano and String Orchestra was composed September 2009. This work uses thematic material from the music of British composer George Lloyd. It is no longer in publication from RBC Music by request of the present holder of the 'original' material - the original work was never published and held during his lifetime by Geo. Lloyd. This work was given, in response to composer Leroy Osmon giving a recording of his Symphony for Winds and Percussion to George Lloyd, with the understanding that both composers would be free to 'pinch' as they saw fit. There was a mutual admiration between Lloyd and Osmon. For additional information contact the composer directly via this site.

  • That was beautiful!!

  • Thank you. Maybe some day you will perform my music... maybe I can write something for you in the future!!!!!

  • Simply beautiful music for the sake of beautiful music. Gorgeous!

  • Thank you for your kind words. The conductor Miguel Perez has been asking me for years for a 'beautiful romanza' so I tried my best to give him one.

  • I just listened to your Romanza on YouTube. Have you no shame? What a flagrant piece of plagiarism. What you have done is nothing more than a poor and amateurish copy of the George Lloyd solo piano original. You've added nothing, you've only subtracted, and not given George Lloyd any credit. Did you know his original work IS IN FACT copyrighted? I personally knew the man more than casually, and he would never allow anyone to "pinch" any of his work. You are a disgrace to music.

  • Beautifull, and thanks to dare write such a music in our time!

    (Happy new musical year too!)

  • thanks for this beautiful music, language of a natural sensibility, in french I will say : "juste chanter, respirer, ressentir, avec une simplicité naturelle et apaisante"

  • Beautiful !
