I decided to redo my Shinigami's Ballad video using The Fray's "How to Save a Life" because I think I'm gonna enter into the Fanime 2008 Music Video. Leave me some feedback -_-

I do not own rights to the song How to Save a Life by the Fray. I am merely using it to add to the video and am in no way claiming it belongs to me nor selling it for commercial use.

  • I'm not sure if i prefer the first or second version of this amv (they are both really good).

I get the impression that this time, the fast forward part IS a bit too quick (unlike in the 1st version)...(it's still a 5 star as far as i'm concerned though ^^)

  • Like I said slow down a bit on the fast forward part, even though the design of the video is nice, the begining looks a bit blurry. All in all, good work.

  • I really love this particular video. It truly brings out the feeling that is tried to be conveyed throughout the series. The timing is spot on, and I think the gaps are quiet necessary to portray this.(In other words I agree with duoloopo). Gaps are great if timed and used properly. If you would like to make it PERFECT, then I think it would be wise to shorten the end. MY advice: Use one last clip, or stretch the fade. I think it will truly make a difference if the time is shortened.

  • I think I get the pauses at the end. Like everything goes really fast right before them and then bam it slows down. Like a heartbeat as you're dying. And since this is about gods of death it seems right. I actually really liked the pace. It starts out slow and casual, like the meaning of the words of the song. But as it goes on it gets faster paced and more desperate. I think it totally works. It makes me want to see the anime.

  • This is very, very, very, very goood! :) you did a good job on this one wait an excellent goob!~ 5/5!

  • alright, I'm gonna watch this now. I've been wondering about it for a while so 'ere I go...

  • btw sorry if I'm comming of as a know-it-all I'm just trying to be helpful, not offend anyone.

  • Yeah, those blank pauses were a little bit strange. Try putting some words in them, like a wise saying or a quote from the show. Also it seemed a little bit jumpy to me... pace changed a lot throughout it but the song never really did, other than that good job. I love this song=P

  • Speaking as someone who hasn't seen this anime, I cried a little watching this AMV, so I guess that means I liked it >.>

Only thing I can say is that the blank pauses starting from 3:54 had me a little confused
