Recently read an article titled "The Song That Put Reggae On The Map," in The Wall Street Journal (Feb 15, 2013). Mr. Cliff speaks about how he came to be cast as the lead in the movie and the inspiration for the lyrics to this song. Interesting read.

Exactly. Back in the day before mtv, internet, etc..you often times didn't even know what a band or artist looked like unless you saw them live or on an album cover. The only thing the record companys could sell back then was the actual music. Today they can sell 1000 images and the actually music is secondary. If not in third place lol. I can't sing worth a dam and I bet a record company could get an album by me gold if they played an image right lol.
