Arrived in yosemite late at night, and set up one timelapse (after a run in with a ranger). The valley is a hell of a tourist trap and always crawls. Originally intended to spend the night up on Clouds rest, but got there too late to actually do anything.

Also took a look at the big tree (sequoias) and then stayed out the next night under the stars on a viewpoint out near clouds rest. Plane died which sucked but got a great timelapse of the moon.

  • we ill be there aug. 2 for the First time coming From SF : )

  • "Yosemite Valley always crawls" not true. Not during the winter!

  • TFoot is the master of time!..lapse

  • "tenya lake"?, I think you mean tenaya lake

  • I love this place I go here every year as well as the grand canyon

  • I love visiting that park when I can, which is about every other year or so... I wish I could go more often.

  • Your timelapses look fantastic TF. What do you use to make them, and how do you make sure you get the right exposures? I thought the picture would get blown out as the sun came into view but it carried on looking quite good.

  • Beautiful! Especially the timelaps of the Moon and Jupiter. You should have taken a telescope along on your trip - perhaps a little fold down 8" Newtonian. Would have complimented the time lapse stuff wonderfully - especially since you can get some rather neat footage of the Moon/planets by simply holding a video camera up to the eyepiece.

  • wow its beautiful
