I didn't see anything wrong with this landing to be honest, good approach and a solid touchdown. MD-80 being as long as it is makes it look like it is going at a downward angle more than it is. He touched down after the piano keys so was just fine. Looked like he was battleing a lot of winds but all in all your still alive, a good landing is one you can still walk away from.

i love flying in and out of dfw its so fun and a grate view of the cowboys stadium.

All things aside, this is a nice video.

I have taken the MD-90 s about 10 times and all i can say : everytime before tochdown it makes me say hurraaaaaaay!!!!! we r falling down yeaeaeaeaeah!!! XDDD

The MD-80s flaps are VERY strong due to the airplanes very small wings. Its normal to have power even for a landing and the MD-80 loves to rattle and shake on takeoff and landing. For a Super80 great landing!

no i meantg the landing i was on was hard
-
Is it a hard landing? I don t think it is that hard... :S

i was flying in to new york on this plane and it was doing the same thing very hard landing
that wasnt that hard of a landing. that right there is normal for a s-80

It was harder than the video shows. I've experienced hundreds of landings on the Super 80, and this one was certainly harder than most. That being said, it was by design. As others have mentioned, the winds were gusting, and they're supposed to set it down firm.
Thanks for watching!

Ha, you worked at Integrated, too? I worked there this summer in AUS. Did the F9 ground handling. Lots of fun!

year pretty much what DVA5656 said. Yall may have been about to stall, so the pilots added more thrust

As said previously, I'd expect that it was due to some winds, rather than a "near stall." But who knows?
