Cut From JV Basketball Team

Should my JV, high school basketball team have passed me up? Yes, not varsity, but the junior varsity team didn't even want to give me a chance as an 11th grader, with two years to develop into a decent small forward (this would obviously be the position I'd have to play in college and the pro's). I'd like to add that a factor did play into the coaches decision to cut me both my junior and senior years. I was taking vocational classes at a location in another city away from the main school. I would have been 10-30 mins late to practice every day because I had to ride the slower bus transportation since I didn't have my own car or a reliable ride from a friend or family member to get back faster. I have been told by other coaches in the area that they would have still put me on the team regardless because we had no one with my combined height and abilities in our small time league. The varsity record that year was 0-13 and we are in the MSL in Ohio, one of the softest leagues in the state. The varsity only won one game my following senior year. I could at least have sat the bench for those horrible teams and been given a chance to shine and be made aware to college's! It was rare to even see someone dunk or be 6'7" (closer to 6'8" in this video shot later), especially with my speed and handling. Just remember, before you leave your comments, to judge me based on the small farm town level. Most people who watch this have prolly watched LeBron James highlights over and over. Please don't measure me against the best in the world. I am asking for your opinion on whether I should have made my small, local JV team. Plenty of guys across the country were transferring schools and having all kinds of strings pulled so they could play. Can't believe the head coach really thought me showing up slightly after warmups, was unfair to the other players and he allowed them to have a winless and one win season to keep some "integrity". BTW you can throw out the integrity factor somewhat during my senior tryout. A toothpick 6'4" junior who couldn't even compare to me being a senior, even when I was a junior made the team and rode the bench. His father had happened to become the school district superintendent before tryouts began. I believe they also went with an 11 man Varsity roster my last year. Plenty of teams had 12, some more. Why couldn't I have just been given a chance and filled that 12th spot (not that I'd be anywhere near the bottom 12, ha)

If your 6'8 they should definitely put you on the team although you cant be late for every practice or they (coaches) think ur not serious about the team. Also no school puts a senior on a JV team. But I still think u should be on the varsity team

@KILLACOACHCAM this video was shot right after a 3 mile workout with the girl recording. my legs were jello and i was dunking over and over during the video, not taking breaks and building up for an explosive dunk like in most peoples dunk videos. trust me, i was usually the fastest and tallest person on the floor.

Please wake the fuck up, you got cut from a JV team in a school that didn't win a single game, and you post a video of yourself on the internet, and make enough excuses to form a small essay. Do you have any idea how pathetic you're making yourself look? If you get cut from JV, you suck, end of story, no excuses. You could post a video of yourself jumping onto the moon and I wouldn't be the slightest bit impressed.

So what you can dunk, and make a couple threes. Thats not gonna get you on a high school team. And you dont seem very fast. I'm not saying your horrible, just not good enough to play at the high school level.
