Laser pointers are sold anywhere. Those used for astronomy are pointed at a certain spot. NOT following the cockpit of a plane or jet. Therefore, should a plane or jet should happen across an astronomical laser beam. It would only be for a fraction of a fraction of a second and most likely not noticed. Also the pilot would have to be looking down at that same instance to have a problem. You would have better odds of winning the lotto. People who want to harm people will find a way. IMHO

You may have a cheap 5mW laser, one that is not truly 532 nm or much of the power is spread to other frequencies. The latter wastes energy and produces a weak beam. The 5 mW green laser is almost all we use. I have a mount like this and the 5 mW works fine in it. Of course good batteries make a difference. Lithium handles the cold better than others.

it doesnt have extra extra power, it has the same power as red lasers, it doesnt pick up particals in the air to make a perfect stream...you are stupid check your facts before you try to sound smart
