Dick Bakker (from the Third World Bazaar) installed a ground mounted 10 kW solar photovoltaic system at his residence in Manotick Station (near Ottawa), Ontario. The system connects to the local grid under Ontario's Micro Feed-In Tariff (microFIT) program. In this video, Dick explains the key components in his system and explains the motivation behind installing this system.
This project brings Ottawa yet another step closer to the 1000 Solar Rooftops target! Read a case study about the project here: http://www.delphi.ca/documents/uploads/Ottawa_Solar_Success_Story_2_-_Third_W...

80.2 cents a kilowatt hour!!!! Holy crap that expensive!!!!! I'll take three of those systems please. I would love to sell at that price, but would hate to buy it at that. We pay 8 cent from the grid.

Great Video and excellent presentation!!
@jeojeomorgen, I think he said aprox. 6600kWh in 6 month. A 10kWac (aprox. 12 kWdc) system will produce between 13000-14000 kWh per year and the FIT he is receiving is 80.2 cents per kWh. So that would be roughly $10,000-$11,000 per year.

You produced 63,000 kw of power with a 10kw system in 6 months? And earned how much?
