I once read that people will sometimes show up for a Cirque show drunk and ruin the show for people around them.

no. it's a walk way for backstage. the audience member's not supposed to go back there. it rarely ever happens. but this guy was trying to "out clown" our clown and paid the price.

It's ok because this guy was "hamming it up" so much during the clown act, trying to "out clown" the clown, that something like this was bound to happen.
