  • @foooswald Wow!!! How blessed you were!! I loved the sound of Anna and in my opinion Shaye was the last of the best!! My Grandfather started the Christian Gospelaires back when I was nine and had the blessing of singing with the CWG in several open concerts. CLASS ACT all the way. Not just on stage...they had the sweetest personalities too!! Missing them!!

  • HAVE YOU HEARD MELISSA KEMPER?

  • I've heard the old gang for years and I say this one sounds

better than ever, can't nobody beat Julie for that CWG sound.

  • Love their sound!! They will be at Renfro Valley in KY on October 16th.

  • Hey, if you have time to reply, They are going to be at our church, Douglas Gospel Assembly, and wanted to know if you are going to attend?? This will take place on 6/19/09!

  • You take care too, my friend.

  • HEY CHIEF! Oh, I agree, this group's harmony is pretty good/true, but to me they just lack that CWG authentic sound. But let's face it, that sound is pretty hard to duplicate. Yes, I really enjoyed the group with Shaye. She really gave them that "Anna" sound. Of course I always thought Anna was one of the best altos ever to step up to the mic, but then I'm probably partial! LOL! I'll check out the other video when time allows. Take care Chief! Mike from Missouri Ozarks

  • I've downloaded the group of which Shaye was a part of. She looks and sounds like Anna. This group harmonizes but just not the same as the group with Shaye.

  • Your absurd attempt at connecting my remarks about the current line-up being "too polished" with making "more mistakes and sing(ing) off key" reveals your ignorance of the terminology, which you should have researched prior to making your remarks. But, since you failed to do that, I will elaborate: I spent the first 20 years of my life in the presence of the remaining ORIGINAL members and heard all the songs sung by them many times. The current line-up simply doesn't measure up. Period.

  • Too polished?? Do you want them make more mistakes or sing off key? I think they're fantastic. They're very talented without being self-indulgent. They treat these old songs with the same reverence that the original group (whom I also love) did. I'm so thankful we have someone with such great talent and respect to carry on the tradition.
