[youtube] So, the Bible is a pack of fairy tales! Just look at the plagues of Egypt: at best, as pointed out by volcanologist van Bemmelen, a memory of an eruption mixed with standard stuff in pre-industrial times (i.e. epidemics), and moral stuff. At worst, it's the figment of the imagination of some dude from long ago.
YET, each plague, in the sequence listed by the Bible, turns to be part of a chain reaction. This ought to worry Bible bashers, who however dig their heads deep in sand and just mock Bible fundamentalists for their own issue: the Bible calls for the plagues to have materialized around 1450 BC, that's 160 years AFTER the eruption ... to which you can add one more problem built in the Bible: tons of passages call for a time way before 1450 BC.
So, the plagues give fundamentalists a double headache, and compel Bible bashers that have to admit that part of the Bible is historical in order to discredit the rest.
It gets better :-)
