Mary "Margie" Powell, age 82, of Adrian, passed away, February 26, 2011, at Lynwood Manor. She was born July 8, 1928, in Springfield, OH. Margie raised seven children on her own and was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by seven children, Sandra (Herman) Tiede of Adrian, Vernon (Butch) Powell of Tallahassee, FL, Carol (Gary) Cox of Adrian, Pam (Bob) Schultz of Brooklyn, Gordon Powell of Tallahassee, FL, Richard (Peggy) Powell of Tallahassee, FL, Barbara (Butch) Moore of Adrian, 28 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank & Doris Foulke, two sisters, Edna Greene and Ethel Parril, three brothers, Francis Foulke, Walter Foulke and Raymond Foulke and her grandson, Richard Powell. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, March 3, 2011, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, with Rev. Chris Cadwallader officiating. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation will on Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and also on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian.
