This was back when Eric Roberts was poised to become the next major hollywood dude. It never happened. Bummer. He's kind of awesome. Star 80 is a good flick.

  • My god Shawna, you're right. I checked IMDB and it seems that in the last fifteen years he's starred in such excellent blockbusters as "Contamination", "The Cookie Theif", "Blizhiny Boy", "8 of Diamonds" and a host of cameos on television. These films are far and away superior in star power to The Pope of Greenwich Village and Star80. That's why it's confusing that Mickey Rourke said "I don't know why in the last fifteen years ain't no one given him the chance to show his shit again."

  • The pope of Greenwich village : A little gem of a movie.

  • @bilvis48 King of the Gypsies :)

  • @Dizzy365 the movie is on YouTube

  • Would you please please please upload Star80?

  • @bilvis48 As I never find Julia Roberts pretty, maybe losing that resemblance to her isn't that bad after all. I actually reckon he looks better after the accident, still fine to date.

  • Sorry about the multiples... this thing is working like a soviet era radio transmitter.

  • @BMWRedheadLawStudent As tragic as her story was, it was not nearly as searing as was The Road Through Wonderland - the recently released book by Dawn Schiller, the girlfriend of LA coke fiend John Holmes. It was so bad for her that at one point she tried to commit suicide only to have Holmes force her to survive and continue. Read her book for a tale that may well stay with you for life.
