  • i am about to shot a documentary and i am thinking of using this camera. How did you record the sound directly into the unit or was it an exterior recording unit? And what do you think of it? Important question.

    Thanks Christian

  • Hi.. I'm EdO Portugal.. I was the sound editor and music composer/producer for this film.

I've basically recorded the film in stereo, with two gun mics and edited in Logic Pro 8 and a bit on Soundtrack Pro 2.

I've added some recordings in my studio, where i've also produced the music.

Glad you asked, hope you liked it..

  • Really great short Film. One question though, I guess it is not shot in 24p mode. WHY?

  • Because it was shot on the 5d which only has a 30fps mode untill the next firmware undate.

    Cheers

    JC

  • @paddyvangogh I thought the 5d DID shoot in 24p. ?? 30p really makes it look soap-opera-ish, doesn't it?

  • @philos71 It does shoot in 24 and 25fps but didn't when we shot our short back in December 2008.

That's sounds like a very arrogant comment. You might do this professionally, but the guys in this are all keen amateurs, and in this instance, trying out a new camera. Show some respect.

Besides, your opinion lost credibility as soon as I saw the World of Warcraft videos.

  • @philos71 does the 5D do 24p now?

  • Hate nit picking but the flashes in the beginning seemed patternish, like not random and to slow, but I have no room to criticize your awesome

  • Excellent. Reminded me somewhat of the episode of BBC's Sherlock "A Study in Pink". Where nobody is suspecting that it's the Taxi Driver behind it. Obviously this was shot in 2009 as that was filmed in 2010.

  • @philos71 no it doesn't look soap opera ish i work in television and you sound silly when you say things like that this short film looks brilliant

  • @paddyvangogh YOU HAVE TO SHOOT IN 1/50TH its not a fucking film camera

  • Great video keep up the good work.

  • well impressed

  • This was pretty awesome! Some really nice shots! Well Done.

  • errmm.. don't know if anyone noticed but at 4:49 you can see the reflection of someone holding a camera and filming in the backwindow

  • great film and awesome shots! I was just wondering how you managed all those tight in car shots with the 5d? what kind of lense did you use? Thanks Adam
