and as for your burnout example. it doesn't apply to this situation. tire slippage in drifting isn't a means of gaining acceleration as you would in a drag launch. it is a method of increasing corner entry speed limit by using the car's power to supply centrifugal force and thus preserving the lateral(for lack of a better word) speed until the end of the turn.
