  • Your using the front facing camera to track the position of the three lights I can see reflected? 1 would be more then enough to create light for the video, but three makes me think your triangulating the position of the phone in relation to those lights - or something like that. Using the lights rather then the paper or GPS to determine what to display.

  • @zbo7800 CONGRATULATIONS!

    Yes, thats exactly it :)

I have uploaded a slightly altered test version of package to maemo extras-devel, its called "invar" and works based on green lights.

if you have 2 N900s, you can test it yourself and play around.

its just an image viewer but if you tile 9 of them together they will collaboratively show the big picture :)

  • phone has sensors(gps, accelerometer, all that stuff) so it can tell which way you move the phone and by how much, when u open the app it probably starts from the middle panel and maps itself out, so now which ever directon u move it, it goes to the corresponding screen

  • @GenericBlack that is incredibly detailed and also incorrect.

  • These comments are full of people who've never used an optical mouse. I find that hilarious.

  • @MisbehavingMal i find your comment hilarious also ;)

  • The only thing I would say that it is, is the front facing camera. Its probably looking towards something that is actually above the phone and paper, thus, the paper that you see is not gonna be needed.

  • very nice

  • the app on the phone has an overlay that covers a large area, just like the paper you wrote on. we are only seeing a small window of that area, the paper serves as a map to the area. it is difficult to tell from the video if that overlay is separate from the apps being shown and if the apps are being "snapped" into place when the edges of the screen are within proximity, or if it simply a large app.

  • @j9kl

    heh, nope!

  • it's a video lulz
