"La Paloma" (Waltz & Tango) on Piano Accordion

This is me playing "La Paloma" on my Weltmeister 96-bass 4-voice Piano Accordion, starting as a Waltz and then going into a Tango to spice things up a little.

My main interest in life is self-playing mechanical street (barrel) and fairground organs (see my profile page), and it was this interest that led me to buy an old accordion at a car boot sale two years ago, intending to use the reeds within for an organ project. However, curiosity got the better of me and I thought I'd better have a go at teaching myself to play the thing. I've avoided ever having to learn the piano as I have a self-playing 'pianola' player piano (see my other videos), so thought the challenge of playing the accordion (by ear) would be a worthwhile one. Two years and an upgraded instrument later and you can hear the result!

I left my piano accordion on the back seat of my car in a rough part of town. I came back to it the next day and sure enough, the back window had been smashed...and three more piano accordians had been abandoned on the back seat!

Pretty good for only two years' with the instrument, and self--taught too. You have great promise. Keep working on your rhythm, you obviously have talent and apptitude for this. Thanks for posting!

@MisinterpretedMonkey You have no idea how hard it was to break your window, nearly got caught, first a stone that didn't work, then a 2/3s piece of brick which crumbled in my hand after making a hell of a noise, well to get to the point-I finally open the case and use that sharp metal corner protector on the accordion itself and the glass just broke to a million pieces. Sorry about not leaving the Case but it just looked so use full.
