Protecting yourself from the paranormal

Ghosthunting, collecting evps, whatever is very fascinating and exhilarating, but it can have it's dangers too. Includes two lists: what NOT to do when ghosthunting and what to do if paranormal problems start happening after a hunt. Includes bonus E. V. P.s at the end.

Note: one thing I might not have made clear early on in the vid is that it's not the greatest of ideas to investigate an area several times AND try to speak to spirits to get their attention. Multiple investigations of the same area is usually ok if you keep quiet.

Also someone had posted on another vid that he used virgin olive oil and made the sign of a cross with it in his room; dunno if that works or not but I'm adding it here.

As long as you keep insisting the spirits go towards the light and keep mentioning the light you will be fine. Once you master your emotions these things wont bother you as much. Ghosts like to play mind games and see emotional responses because they themselves are trapped just like we are confined to our physical bodies here on earth.

These are good warnings though for newbies because some people rush into things.

Yeah, those that *need* to go to the light should, and those that are bad entities don't like to hear about the light and will probably leave.

Yep, there are bad entities out there that are bored or malevolent and cause trouble.

That is some good advise!! I had a spirit latch on to me several years ago and I had to REALLY become a very spiritual person and always play southern black gospel music and I PROMISE YOU, that style of music is really powerful emotionally and spiritually and it ALWAYS works.The trick is YOU MUST BELIEVE IN WHAT THE SONG IS SAYING 100% and HAVE LOTS OF FAITH. To this day- and it has been 20 years, I have to not let my guard down or things tend to happen out of the ordinary.

as I'm sure you do ...others may not...geography plays a large part in the frequency and intensity of these phenomenon.Fault lines,underground springs and other various geographical naturaly occuring features can and almost always render higher than normal Electro-Magnetic Fields and as you also are aware the EMF's are what make recording EVP's-capturing other various manifestations possible. This seems to be the most prevalent means if not the only means for " them" to bridge the gap between..

Continuing with that, yes, for some reason there can be spirit activity around water a lot...why, exactly? Who knows.

Anyway I hope you finish up your comment, think you were going to say spirits' cries for help aren't always genuine, a lot of them can't be trusted, unfortunately.

Yeah supposedly spirits can sense fear, which can keep them here and continually pestering us!

How come you don't have any evps or any other evidence up?

Later comment: I've yet to team up with anyone on an investigation...might eventually though. Sorry about the problems you went through with your friends and all.

Later: I live in a large town, which those supposedly interfere with spirits' doings, hence your 'location'-type comment...not real powerful entities here in general.

It's good to try to debunk as much as possible. Yes, it's not a good idea to try to challenge entities.

On a later comment, I've had activity pick up when I listened to a lot of evps, since They know that they're being paid attention to...lot of spirits are bored and want attention. So I'm very sure that makes a difference.

Hi baddalbatross42 (like the name :) ), just responding to this as you've posted, even combining a few things.

Thanks for the kind words about my putting this up, a lot of people worldwide are interested in this kind of thing, but it obviously has downsides.

I've actually been meaning to update this as well, since I've later learned some of the stuff mentioned thwarts demonics, some evil spirits, which there's a difference. So no problem with "correcting" me :)
