  • "the gravity would cause the heavier object to fall quicker, as per newtons laws?" Newtons law says they will fall at the same speed and hit the ground at the same time!

  • @Jewop yes, but one is a heavy mass, and the other is a feather.

a golf ball and a bowling ball, maybe...

  • i reckon that the "no atmosphere" scenario has no credibility here. what matters is the gravity of the moon. those two objects weigh differently. the gravity would cause the heavier object to fall quicker, as per newtons laws...

  • cant help laughing at the vid on the right.random moon landing bloopers.thats quality.newtons 3rd law.watch out for bannana skins.

  • oh no.all that time i thought the moon was just a big bit of cheese.gutted.lol

would a penny drop quicker or wot.

  • @kernzyp The acceleration a of a body is parallel and directly proportional to the net force F and inversely proportional to the mass. Newtons second law of motion.

  • @kernzyp They both have mass. Mass does not effect the rate at which it is falling. If this where on earth, air resistance would slow the feather down. But alas, this is not on earth, it's on the moon with no air resistance, so both hit the ground at the same time.
