Rockman 9 was actually Rockman and Forte (Megaman and Bass) which was released in the U.S for the GBA.

also they went back to 8bit because everyone wanted classic Megaman, and this game takes place before MM8 so it makes sense to have it 8bit

I dont understand why they went back to 8 bit, When I was doing my mega man search way back when, I heard there was a Japanese Rockman 9 for a system but I never finished my research on that.
