(July 21)This is AP Campaign Minute Democratic candidate for president Barack Obama arrived in Baghdad -- where he was greeted by members of the Iraqi government. Senator Obama met with both prime minister Nouri al-Maliki, and President Jalal Talabani. He also had plans to meet with U.S. military commanders who will outline recent progress in the war. It's the third stop in Obama's foreign tour. Obama's republican rival, Senator John McCain was in Maine Monday where he attended a picnic at the Maine Military Museum. McCain's campaign has launched a new t-v ad that blames Obama for rising gas prices. The ad, airing in 11 battleground states, argues that the cost of fuel is rising because of opposition to oil drilling in the United States. Meantime - McCain's party is getting ready for their convention in six weeks. Organizers began preparing the X-cel Energy Center in Minneapolis for the 46-hundred delegates and thousands of other guests who will flood the building the first week of September. The League of Conservation Voters is the latest green group to back Democrat Barack Obama . The group's scorecard on environmental issues for the first session of the current Congress gave Obama a score of 67 and Republican John McCain a zero. Yea its obama that is keeping gas prices up, not big oil. It could not be the fact that big oil only put between 1% and 9% of there money into looking for new oil when they are giving over 50% of the money they make to the stock holders. Yea its all Obama.
