SJS Engine 2 responds Code 3 to an EMS call

On November 13th San Jose Fire Department held a Dedication Ceremony for their brand new Fire Station 2. This video is not that.

On several occassions during the morning Engine 2 was responded to EMS calls in the area, here we see Fire Engine 2 responding to a call. leaving the fire station Code 3 on one of those responses.

Engine 2 is a 2009 Hi-Tech build pumper on a Spartan Gladiator chassis.

@MrDyson01 I think that's a question for Smeal... Engineering and manufacturing is different to build the chassis than it is to put the pump in and build the storage around the chassis. Pierce, American LaFrance, Ferrara and E-One all build their own chassis, but they all also use commercial chassis, depending on the project and the need.

@MrDyson01 The front looks like a Spartan Gladiator... there are MANY fire apparatus builders that use Spartan chassis, Smeal is just one of them. Mostly fire truck builders don't start from scratch, they start with a cab chassis from a chassis builder. Pierce and American LaFrance do build their own chassis, they also use commercial chassis, depending on the project and the needs of the client.
