1st yr = 34.99/mo programming + 7/mo DVR Service = 503.88 for 1 yr.

2nd yr = 65.99/mo programming + 7/mo DVR Service = 875.88 for 1 yr.

total 2 yr TV service = 1379.76

Local Cable Co.

Basic Cable + Internet 20 Mbs + Phone = 110/mo = 1320 for 1 yr.

Total 2 yr service TV + Internet + Phone = 2640

Direct TV = Over half the price for a third of the service.

@spnlthaxton Yeah, they suck. My dad just switched to Direct TV earlier this week. I haven't tried it out yet, he cancelled dish because they were expensive a long with a few other things.

As Joplin victims call Direct TV to cancel their service due to homes completely wiped off the map, they are being told to send in a box or remote control or pay a fine of $500+ to cancel service. DirectTV should be boycotted. Tell their employees to go to these former HOMES and find their remote controls... RE-POST TO GET THIS TO GO VIRAL !!!!!!

FOX TV NW & Direct TV is being a little childish in their northwest negotiations. I want my programming back! Especially fox & E! You can get Fox free on hulu.com Long story short-negotiations fell short 160,000 homes are losing out because fox wants to increase what we pay by 600% and direct tv wants to be a snob with it's profit margins. I dont want to pay more for my service but also hate that they are taking away these channels which I watch A LOT.
