SAN JOSE, CA -- Loomia provides recommended links and videos to visitors of big publishing sites for text content as well as links to video. The company claims its recommendation engine boosts consumption by 24 percent for video publishers.

The San Francisco-based company's program is integrated into the WSJ.com, Time.com, and other big sites. Last month in San Jose, we caught up with co-founder and CEO David Marks for this update.

The company raised a small additional funding round in September.

Video recommendation to visitors is increasingly important as publishers seek to keep viewers on their site. We recently reported on Taboola, a pure video recommendation platform that is being used by The New York Times.

Both Loomia and Taboola are partners with Brightcove.
