Rod Coronado is a true animal hero. It's incredible that even today people have to wear masks to truly help their fellow creatures. It just goes to show that our society still has a long way to go to become truly mature, compassionate and respectful of other life on this planet.

What will we say when asked to give account of our stewardship of the planet? I think most will be ashamed... but not Rod.

Calling Rod Coronado a hero cheapens the very definition of the word. A police officer stopping a rape in progress is a hero. A firefighter saving a little girl from a burning house is a hero. A person, and I use the term rather loosely, who steals rabbits and destroys valuable medical research without a lick of remorse is a thief and a vandal. Nothing more.
