My Lexus Perfect Putt Video

Team One helped Lexus design a whole new kind of lead generation technique for the 2011 U.S. Open that was not only great fun, and a great way to collect guest information, but also a great excuse to "act a fool" (and who doesn't enjoy that!).

From Congressional Country Club in the Capital City, U.S. Open guests were filmed putting a golf ball and doing a victory dance (some better than others) that were then integrated into an interactive video. We leveraged Lexus' partnerships with golfers Johnny Miller and Peter Jacobsen to create a comically-narrated story of the "putter's" golf ball as it travels through the iconic golf course of Pebble Beach. The adventure leads the ball down staircases, into locker rooms, bouncing off statues, and even across the path of the Lexus LFA Supercar before it dramatically reaches the edge of the hole and finally drops in with a satisfying "clunk." The scene cuts to the guest who reacts to the "perfect putt" with their well deserved victory dance.

After completing a short online survey to retrieve their video at home, guests could email it to a friend or post it to their Facebook, YouTube, or Twitter account.
