Beautiful video! Well done! I have found that my grandfather visited Crab Orchard KY when he was 9 years old. His stepfather had a grist saw mill there and as far as I can tell his mother died there too. Do you have more videos of the other cemeteries or any of the historic buildings? Thanks great to remember the these monuments to past heroes. Karolyn

i wish they'd fix that monument up a little, i got some family buried up on that hill, we own 4 farms outside the city limits, and three houses in town, i dont spend much time there anymore, because i go to UK, but i still wish they'd do some work on it, last time i saw it, it needed it
The Inscription reads " Here off duty til the last reveille, rest the Southern soldiers, few in number, who were slain in this and in adjoining counties during the War of Secession. They fell among strangers, unknown, unfriended, yet not unhonored for strangers' hands have gathered their ashes here and placed this shaft above them. That constancy, valor, sacrifice of self, though displaced in fruitless enterprise, may not be unremembered"
