Lanzinger breaks his leg

Austrian Matthias Lanzinger, with bib 30, crashed spectacularly out of his run in the latter stages of the Olympiabakken course and finished in the safety net. He was carried down on a sledge by officials, with his fall delaying the event by some 30 minutes. (WCSN, WCSN.com)

@FlyingZamora I wouldn't want to be in the olympics because skiing to me is fun. Once it becomes competition, it would just be something else that I have to do in order to make a living. I do however, very much enjoy skiing down a hill at 60+ mph. =D

@FlyingZamora I have been skiing for 18 years, was a ski instructor for 6 years and ski patrol for 4 years. As long as you take a lesson and stick to hills that are at or below your ski level, there is no reason to be afraid of skiing.

@LATiNAMAMi369 Im just guessing by something I read about a lawsuit but I think it was the leg with the ski still attached... I think they are supposed to come off but his didnt and caused his leg to break when he rolled.

@TheNich8888 i... am now scared of skiing... i feel so bad for that guy. breaking a bone hurts, and i know that by experience. ouch... >.<
