if you want to keep your fingers, don't use the chisel pointing down when your hand is below it
I think she mentioned Alaska. White birch--but maybe other birches have it too.

I love this fungus! Inonotus obliquus is
magic medicine but also fantastic tinder for firelighting. Great uses in bushcraft. Unfortunately it is very VERY rare in my country.
Nice video - 5/5

Hello I don't mean to be a know it all but, I have heard that it's better to leave a level face with the tree when harvesting chaga, by not going below the level of the actual bark itself!!! This gives the tree a better chance at surviving. Just thought I'd pass that on and Have A Best Day Ever!!!!!! James Merry Christmas

@MrTrueTrekker chaga is a scab covering a tree wound, and once chaga has set in, the tree is already dying. Please get educated before making comments about stuff you don't understand...I have harvested chaga for over two years, and when I go back to sites I have already been, the chaga grows back..if you had ever harvested chaga you wouldn know that...so guess what, You aren't a know it all...you don't know anything about chaga. And quoting rawtards is annoying.
