  • Considering that the burglar had over two dozen previous offences and had only been released from jail on Saturday, I'd say that the lad did society a favor.

If there winds up being some sort of trial, I'd stand fully in support of the student, hoping that I'd have the courage to do the same thing in that situation.

  • I sincerely hope for all the best for the Hopkins student - you did the right thing.

I hope the last thing that junkie saw was his severed hand before he landed face first in his own blood.

  • The student is free and clear and should be. We all have the right to feel safe in our homes. So the student did the right thing. I would have used the katana myself.

  • Message to burglars: If you break into my house I cannot defend myself with anything but a lawsuit...

  • is this guy high??

  • i was just writing that as my comment but wasn't sure if "tweaking" was the right term for it! I'm older now the slang has changed. but yeah he was definitely "tweaking" Glassy blood shot eyes kept touching his face(nose mostly), was fidgety wouldn't look into the camera yup classic signs.

  • If you define "majority" as more than 50% then I know you are suffering from statistical displacement disorder. Note that approximately 16% of the U.S. population are black.

I suppose that, in your world, whites do not commit crimes? I think that the fact that our prison population is among the highest in the industrial world should indicate that, indeed, at least that part of the justice system is "fighting back".

Oh, and I've met MANY blacks, many of whom are my customers & good citizens.

  • runswimbikesleep, your examination ignores any of the facts that are important in determining the actions taken during this event and the actions and intentions are what are examined in order to proceed with charges or not.
