Sue Elenbaas, of Borculo, Michigan, taught me how to make these fun potholders when I crashed a recent craft gathering at her home. Download a PDF instruction sheet at craftsanity.com
Hi. I had a lot of fun making my potholder with your instructions. I do have a suggestion, you should mention the insulated batting material needs a heavier needle to make the project
easier. for example I used a leather needle after my thread kept breaking. thanks for posting your video
I really have enjoyed making these potholders - they are so pretty, easy, AND forgiving. Is there a similar type of project that I might like - good way to use up fabric in my stash?
I'm so glad I came across your tutorial! This method is so much easier. I desperately need a new batch of pot holders and will use your great instructions to make some this weekend.
These are really cool. I just made 8 of them and I got to thinking..couldn't you use this same method to made placemats?? This is just too cool. I may try it. thanks.

Where do you get the heat resistant fabric? What type of material would be a good substitute? Do you have a video about making ironing board pads?

This method was originally offered to make coasters. You use 5" squares instead
