  • But Homer Simpson will be dead by then. What then? What then?

  • Brilliant! Brilliant! The Onkalo intiative AND the set up of this documentary: as a letter to future generations who may stubble upon it. I really hope this gets theatrical release in The Netherlands. But I'll be pre-ordering DVDs either way.

  • @Mijnnaamniethier But that is not safe if it is opened in 20000 years, 50000 years or 80000 years.

  • @airsaw123 What happens if the spacecraft explodes? Are we ready for the end of human era?

  • @Mijnnaamniethier

    250,000 years

  • @airsaw123 because of the danger of the rocket exploding on launch. it would be a disaster.

  • why not just take it to the moon?

  • why not just take it to the moon?

"Hiding place" would be "piilopaikka". Onkalo is a large hollow space, usually underground. Cave or cavity are pretty close, though "cave" would probably be translated back as "luola".

    And now you know.

  • I find it typical that so many people worry about if onkalo is opened in 100,000 years.

I understood that by that time it should be safe. Or am I being naive?

  • Watch it here: goo. gl/ jromk (remove spaces)

  • I assume this is a non official trailer but quite like it. One small thing, I am fairly sure Onkalo means hiding place not cave.
