City Council Conspires to Control FTA Transit Questions

Across America taxpayers being asked to fund a 1900's era, fixed rail, mass transit system for the island of Oahu in the State of Hawaii. While only 12.5% of Hawaii is in favor of the project, more than 5 Billion Dollars will be spent on this system. No one disputes the benefits from and the need for a mass transit system to reduce our highway traffic crisis. Tragically, the Democratic process of participation has been suspect throughout the hearings, proceedings, approvals, and votes. Because of limited public support, the City and County of Honolulu has taken repeated steps to manipulate the public's awareness of and participation in the debate on what technologies, routes, and alternatives would best serve Hawaii. This video, in addition to my coverage of the League of Women Voter's transit debate, and in addition to my coverage of the propaganda campaign funded by the City just prior to the 2008 vote, provide damning evidence of Democracy turned third world. This video is made available from the publicly funded public broadcast of public hearings on public property.
