not a single christian theologian espoused anything relatively close to the pre-tribulational, pre-millenial, dispensational viewpoint so many have today (most commonly in america, b/c it's a very american idea). it wasn't until a scottish girl had a nightmare in the mid 1800's and her pastor called it prophecy and darby and scoffield grabbed onto it and popularized it that any of those ideas even existed. but it doesn't matter, b/c any of us could be wrong. what's going to happen will.

Wow...This guy Jim totally misses the mark on all levels . It's sad to see his massive blind spots.

@diligentile The devil is bound to some degree now. But Rev. 20 does not indicate Satan's demons
are bound.

Revelation is not chronological. The Apostle John receives visions of the same event "The Revelation of Jesus Christ" or the unveiling. Similar to how the gospel writers are all writing about the same account but through different perspectives In revelation 9, an angel unlocks the bottomless pit and the demon army comes out. This implies that the pit was locked at one time which Revelation 20 explains more clearly. Jesus comes back and judges many times in rev 6, 11, 19

I love how nearly everything he says about Kim Riddlebarger's assumptions is more fitting for dispensationalism.

What a glorious day it will be when a pastor will actually come forth and say "I am not quite sure of what actually will happen, but this is what I THINK".
Nothing makes me more nauseous than a preacher who is so prideful that he can't even admit he doesn't know whats going to take place. Its downright shameful.

According to Revelation 16... read about the 6th bowl. Armageddon is at the 6th bowl. No argument there. Rev 16 proves it. Since Satan is loosed AFTER the 1000 years and starts Armageddon, the 1000 years has to be ended by the 6th bowl judgment.
Argument over.
Rev 9... the abyss is opened. The 5th trump. Satan has a short time between 5th trump to the 7th trump where Christ rules for "ever and ever"....

Just read Dr. Riddlebarger's article. Let's see how this response does and if I can't make some sense of this issue. Thanks!
the assumption this speaker makes is that the book of Rev. is chronological right from the start. sounds like a presupposition to me. Wonder where he got that? Dispensationalist are very big on inductive interpretation. what came first the chicken or the egg? There are Inheirant issues with the chronological approach. Such as when was Satan bound? Luke 10:17-19 I saw Satan fall from heaven - Jesus said and mark 3:27 No one plunder a strong man's house unless he binds the strong man.

Satan is bound and sealed in Rev 20:2.
He is not currently bound because of 1 Peter 5:8, James 4:7, and 2 Corinthians 4:4.

you are making a mistaken assumption that the binding of Satan means he is not at work in the world. The verses you gave prove that is not true. The purpose of the binding is first, to restrict and hinder so that the kingdom of God can increase and grow. Second to prevent him from deceiving the nations. 2 Thes 2:7, Rev 20:3, Rev 12:9, Rev 20:8. Satan can only work when God allows it. If God is not in control of His creation then He is under control of it.

He is not yet bound per Rev. 20:2
He can not be both...
a. at work in the world, and
b. bound and sealed in the abyss

The kingdom of God can increase and grow whether satan is bound or not, satan is not stronger than God.
Are you really arguing that the nations are not being deceived right now?
