@kkstealth actually, he wanted to kill Naruto to gain the mangekyou sharingan, but he couldn't go through with it. To gain the mangekyou sharingan you have to kill your best friend, thus proving that he knows that Naruto is his best friend. Just sayin'

@lucillemaxim Naruto is the only one he acknowledges, to everyone else he is indifferent. Naruto is the one who brings the fight out of him, whereas he doesnt give anyone else (especially the girls) the time of day. Plus, I dunno how it works in Japan, but you do NOT lean over inches from someone's face staring at them (for 15 seconds while Naruto was unconscious!) and still be 'just friends'.
