Clark tried to give Lois a nonsuper proposal becuz He knows Lois already understands how easy super comes. Clark wanted to show how hard he worked and planned. Clois proposal was more appreciated.

Clark was obsessed with Lana she didn't even say yes like come on a man does the best proposal to man by makin a diamond with his hand & puts it on a ring askin U to marry him and you wait to say yes. She asked him how many x's he was there watchin her when she didn't know it. Hmm? Well obviously the Clois is more romantic because they each put their soul into it. Lois did by going along with it all with full excitement. Clanas was creative, Clois was romantic.

@LyricalXilence I liked the engagement and marriage. I would have been content just to see them together, too, but seeing them combine their two lives into one over the course of the season and really be together in every sense of the word, in the way people who are in love and getting married do, really cemented their relationship. It was a great way to show that Clark had finally found the one who was right and was done waiting and wondering and running around in circles in his relationships.

@AceofGallifrey I'm a CLois fan as well and I have to agree that I prefer Clark and Lana's take in the Fortress. It was just so much more romantic and beautiful. Also I felt that this marriage thing in S10 was rushed and there was no need for it to be. Just having them together was enough for me.

okaii...dnt get me wrong..im for clois all the way...and tht scene was SO romantic and beatiful...but tht clana proposal...man tht was EPIC! lol. i mean c'mon fellow clois shippers...ya gotta admit...it might've not been as romantic...but it was deff more epic...

I gotta say, although I am 100% a Clois shipper, I actually prefer the Clana proposal. It was a nice callback to Superman III (thumbs up for Annette O'Toole, the only tolerable Lana Lang!), and just a very sweet scene.

But of course, Clark and Lois forever.

I loved Clark's proposal to Lana very much. It was five years in the making and therefore the anticipation had been built up for me from the start of the show. When it finally came it was thrilling and magical. The setting was also very beautiful with it being in the fortress of solitude & him carrying her in his arms. I also adored him being so nervous in anticipation as well as turning a lump of coal into a gorgeous diamond...a nice shout-out to Superman III. Very significant & special.

One more thing I love about Clana's proposal is Clark didn't know what's gonna happen with his relationship with Lana. I mean all was unpredictable, full of surprises. Just like life. He didn't know if Lana would accept him or not even though I'm sure a major part of him was sure Lana would always accept him. I like that Clark based his proposal on his gut & desire to marry her becoz he couldn't live without her, NOT due to a future reference BS. Thus, his proposal was more real & romantic.

Clark always wanted to marry Lana. He actually proposed or wanted to propose her 3 times, Reckoning,Crimson,&Promise. I remember Pete teased him about it. He said that in Clark's dream he married Lana. So, it's a big BS that Clark married her only becoz he's afraid of losing her. Even if it was, it's pretty normal when U love someone. In Clana's proposal, Clark wanted to marry Lana becoz he LOVED her while in his other proposal, it's becoz he wanted to settle. Love > Settling also Lana > Lois.
