Barred from playing her own gig at London's Soho Revue Bar on 1 Oct 2007, apparently due to being underage, Laura & her band played an impromptu acoustic set on the pavement outside the venue on Walker's Court.

  • It's funny watching this now, while at the same time getting twitter updates with pictures of the amazing venues she's playing in. She's just moved onward and upwards, and left the begrudgers behind! :)

  • @EilidhThePidgeon best stuff, uh

  • @sammyisutube you mean marcus mumford?!?! damn you're lucky

  • @brian1denver ahahahahahahahahhaha just die, NOW!

  • and winston marshall next to marcus? this is weird...

  • wow is that Marcus Mumford next to her? thats incredible

  • I just re-discovered this video... it was the second thing of Laura's I heard (the first was a tape recorded early version of 'failure' off the radio. I missed out the bit where Zane Lowe said her name so I listened to the song hundreds of times not knowing who it was by!) Nearly 4 years on and look where she is now. Amazing, and this early stuff is proof she deserves all the success she gets.

  • @TheBrainFlow I think it's brilliant that she would do this, rather than just give up when she was turned down from the venue. With all these people walking past, ignoring her and shouting things at her, she continued to play to her small crowd, and proved how devoted she was to her music. She really is wonderful...

  • @TheBrainFlow Stupid (possibly drunk) man actually said it TWICE. What a tool.

  • @alwaysandeverful It seems like it. He's truly mistaken bc she's absolutely brilliant. I also love how shy she is and yet she needs to take this kind of crap from people bc she needs to expose herself in order to be successful. She was there, took it, and now look where she is at in her career. More power to her. She's amazing.
