Avatar The Last Airbender Opening 1 - Genkai Battle (My Own)

I made my own Avatar opening to the song Genkai Battle, so it seemed more like an anime. I have other versions too (Subbed and RAW), but this one I have added credits to, and a piece of the first episode to show how the transition would be like. Enjoy.

I'd like to thank Janime, for the music, The Maker s of Avatar, and The Avatar Portal, for their fantastic work with uploading their series, and my being allowed to use them for this video. I'll be subbing it soon. Also Anime Lyrics for their lyrics to the song 'Genkai Battle' by JAM Project.

This is kind of interesting to me. The style of music has a classic, almost timeless feel to it, which works here. What show is it from, if you'd indulge me? The one thing that kind of brought it to a grinding halt was the transition. You need to give it a breath before you move to the next shot, and especially score in this case. All in all, I like it. It's a solid piece of work.

Genkai Battle - Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Ending 1.

I would beg to differ on the depth. Only Dragonball as a series (so excluding Z and GT entirely) has anything surmountable to depth that rivals Avatar - it's downfall is that it was specifically an American children's show, meaning it couldn't go the whole haul with certain elements surrounding violence, sex and mortality. Didn't stop it being an interesting watch though.

I kinda like it but to be honest...

This song is a bit to energetic and upbeat to match the show, i mean your opening is good, if i wasn't a total avatarfanfanatic and didn't know the show i'd prolly love it, but i do know the show and...um yeah, this song may fit a Dragon Ball opening, but avatar is quite opposite kind of anime than DBZ, it is way more deep and calm, so should the opening be...

Thanks for the C+C coccinelsucrer, I really appreciate it. Had this been said some time ago when I cared to edit it, I'd completely re-do this opening. But I've not got the motivation to really do it any more. :( But thanks anyway, and was there a particular opening song that you personally would've used?

Trust me, youtube is getting more and more strict. I was watching a Disney's Hercules video of one of it's musical sequences, and it was removed while I was watching it. (I tried to refresh, it said the page was gone. It is.)

@ABVortex I hate myself for self promoting, but I've gone over the actual depth in my review of Dragonball Z. I like for you to watch at the very least the last one, because not only does is explain in part how deep the series really is, but also why it doesn't get it's just due in that regard. And I agree with you on the matter of Avatar. I intend to review that series some day, and for all the praise I'll give it, I'll berate it for how belittled it makes its self.

@coccinelsucrer Dragonball has more depth than Avatar could ever pretend to have... Until season 7. Avatar is, in fact, a deep show, but Dragonball and Dragonball Z don't get the credit they disserve. Just look at the stuff with Frieza. Besides, Avatar has plenty of action.
