"Wells Fargo allegedly fired an employee because his dying daughter needed expensive cancer treatment, according to a lawsuit filed in Palm Beach County Court on Thursday. Wells Fargo fired mortgage consultant Yovany Gonzalez three days before his daughter Mackenzie was scheduled to get cancer surgery in August of 2010, the lawsuit states. According to the suit, the hospital canceled the surgery because Mackenzie no longer was covered by health insurance...".* Ana Kasparian and Cenk Uygur discuss on The Young Turks.

Yet the Americans still insist they are a civilised society...prisoners get better treatment than the poor innocent Americans. How is that civilised where the guilty get treated better than the innocents, it's like a horrible lawless waste land where the bad guys win for behaving badly and the good people get treated like shit for no good reason.

The average citizen is not that callous. The average citizen unfortunately has little to do with how this country operates. A growing number of people are proud to me Americans yet ashamed of our own government. I believe at one time it was one of if not the best system in the world. The problem we have now with capitalism that isn't tempered by true democracy. The will of the people should always come before profits, and bottom lines.

how awful. These things happen everywhere the fact that soulless people exist. The best thing to do, if you are reading this, is to be good to everyone around you. Treat people the way you would love to be treated because, if not, the evil spread and we end up getting hurt. Its not worth. Spread the love. If this is practiced by putting the selfish to the side, it can avoid war. Thx youtubers <3

I have never understood how the insurance company is off the hook. She was diagnosed while she was covered, so even if they no longer had the coverage, the insurance company should have been on the hook for her care, related to this diagnosis. Insurance companies don't have to pay for preexisting conditions, so why shouldn't they have to pay for all of the care (up to the established limits of the coverage) for a condition that develops while the patient is covered?

I bet you a million bucks that Wells Fargo is so heartless. That they don't even give a damn about their own people.
