Splawn Nitro Overdrive Video 2

This one has svetlana powertubes rather than the Ruby EL34 BSTR's. these are fresh. The rubys have been in regular use for over 8 months so these fresh svetlanas are definitely an improvement though when new, the BSTR's sound much better.

Like the other videos, I'm sorry about the mic farting out. The low end from the amp/cab was simply too overwhelming for the mic and I didn't realize this at the time.

what kind of cab and what speakers

for this particular video, it was an earcandy buzzbomb 2X12 with a pair of earcandy greenmachine speakers.

I sold it however in favor of a splawn 4X12 which has those two earcandy speakers as well as a pair of scumback XH75-LHDC's. It sounds soooo much better than the buzzbomb. This amp truly needs a 4X12 speaker to maximize it's potential. It sounds like 2X12's sort of choke it down.

yeah clean and the overdrive channel has 2 gain modes as well as a solo boost.

actually framus cobra and dragon are of the same voicing philosophy as the nitro but they are not as saturated. the nitro sound a bit rounder and wet.
