iMac FireWire Ports not Working | Ways to Fix and Assess

Hello,
Today I am going to be showing you a problem I had and still have with my Late 2008 24" iMac. When plugging in a FireWire 400 External HDD the computer's FireWire Controller Board became unresponsive and failed to show that the FireWire 400 Drive nor the FireWire 800 drive I had plugged into the Machine. When going into the "System Profiler" and clicking on the FireWire Tab, when the FireWire 400 drive was attached it would say "Unable to list FireWire devices" and when that HDD was not plugged in, it would come up with my other FireWire 800 drive that was plugged in and all was good. It is annoying that my FireWire 400 port does not work still and I will be trying anything I can to bring it up and working. But, in the mean time I am glad that my FireWire 800 drive is working sound. I use it a lot more than the 400. If your iMac or Mac in general is also experiencing this issue, what I would do to check to see what it is, is, turn off the computer. Unplug everything attached to it. Besides Keyboard and Mouse (If not Wireless) and turn the computer back on. Before attaching anything back, start with the essentials first. Like, internet, sound, etc.. Then move onto USB's and FireWire Devices. I did this and everything worked fine up until the point that I plugged in the FireWire 400. Once you know what is causing the Kernal Panic, you can go about fixing it! And there is many ways too. Which I will link at the end of this description.
