World-renowned graphic artist Stefan Sagmeister is respected for his maverick approach and gritty, handmade style. Once called "the Johnny Depp of the design world," he blends sexuality, tenacity, and wit to create work that pushes boundaries and never fails to intrigue. Although today he's best known as an innovative interactive artist, his early career predates modern desktop publishing tools.

This week's Designing Minds is the first of three episodes about Sagmeister. In it, he discusses his early days as student making theatre posters, how he was affected by the popular artists of this time, and the use of humor in his work.

  • @TheUse77 his ego killed it all

  • @wally1979 true

  • @TheUse77 ps i am drunk as fuck lol

  • @TheUse77 i mean, you have the research lab /david carson/sagmeister side, the eike könig side, the very classic side, everything. erik spiekermann seems to be on top of the people who simply live on and adjust without thinking abpout that at all. he doesnt give a shit and that is the only right thing. too much ego kills creativity.we all know that. stefan has a BIG ego.

  • @TheUse77 with 4 asses you wouldnt win SHIT these days, cmon, lol, you know it and that is EVEN though, it is asses. so...i dont know. but life is a process, isnt it? ;)

  • @mucker3000 young people can do and watch so much more and therefor becoming very wide ranged in a perspective of possibilities to design something, find and own style and everything far quicker than at his time, i think he did not digest this fact very well in the last years, but i dont know. it is very weird to see him give his "happy design" lecture, the way he talks and stuff he is really some weird guy in a way.

  • @wally1979 Why is he a hack? D:
