Alert Manager allows your organization to create targeted alerts within Salesforce guaranteed to reach your Salesforce users whenever they view the records associated with the Alerts. Because Alert Manager is a native Salesforce application, all the information is presented in screens that will be familiar and intuitive for your users.
Using Alert Manager, your organization can set Alerts on almost all standard records within Salesforce. As soon as a user views a record with an Alert set, a window will pop-up with the Alert Message, deliverying the critical message when they need it most.
A single alert can be set for multiple records at once, such as on an Opportunity and a Contact. One alert can be actually be associated with 11 different types of records in Salesforce. Alert Manager supports setting alerts on: Accounts, Assets, Campaigns, Cases, Contacts, Contracts, Leads, Opportunities, Products, Solutions, and Users. It is also possible to set a Global Alert. A Global Alert is not associated with any specific record and will display whenever a user views a page that is configured to support alerts.
