The problems you are talking about will still be there in school. Sure, you wouldn't have anymore judgment based on what you wear, but instead there would be even more judgment based on weight, height, race, face, etc.
There are dress codes for school, too. Things that are appropriate, not appropriate, etc.
Correlation does not imply causation.
At work, you still choose what you wear, but in school you shouldn't?

Well, these arguments stand only for you.
For me, i have a bunch of cheap pants that are all the same, cargo pants, i never use the pockets. I don't have to choose in the morning. I pull out a pair of pants, pick a random t-shirt (they are pretty much all the same) and go to school.
Now that uniforms are mandatory at my county, i have to survive a week of 2 pairs of pants, and 3 itchy, large fibered, non liquid absorbing, collared shirts that have to be black, white, or grey. How depressing.
