Awww, in the original the Harkonnen troopers had shots bouncing off of their armor, here they're getting blown up :(.

Just watched the Dune 2 intro when I was trying it out earlier. Dune 2000's intro is definitely an improvement. Only disliked the new models for the harvesters and the deviator.
I rather liked the squared models of Dune 2's vehicles. Wish they'd stayed faithful to them - with Dune 2000's graphics, we would actually get to enjoy the models animated, rather than just their portraits and in the intro.

Comparatively speaking, the music of this intro lends this version an aura of despair, unlike Dune 2's which had a bit of victory mixed with defeat. Listen to both of those intros, and draw your own conclusions.

Oh man! Dune is a funny game, but in a couple of mintes very annoying. I've played it for 1 hour... never wanna play it again. :(
