Bus transfer 2 hrs to My Tho for our boat trip. Late morning drifting down the bustling branches of the Mekong and into the tranquil canals. Sightseeing on island: visit to a traditional mekong delta house & kitchen, have seasonal fruit taste with tea and honey, see local rice wine brewery, wine testing, paddling small sampan along arroyo. Lunch break. Leisurely afternoon bicycle ride 2 hours on small dirt road, walking bridges, local ferry crossing and onto to Cai Be. Boarding on boat for the floating market and cruise over the mighty mekong river (~ 1.5km wide) to Binh Hoa Phuoc & An Binh island. Great sunset view from the mekong. Dinner and overnight guesthouse on island.

Day 2: Vinh Long - Long Xuyen - Chau Doc (B,L,D)

Cycling 1/2 hour under natural green canopy to the ferry crossing for Vinh Long. Short transfer to avoid traffic, then we ride to An Hoa and onto Chau Doc. This is a long day on two wheels, going through immense rice fields and countryside villages. After lunch, we transfer to Chau Doc, then on our bike again for Sam mountain, we hike up 2.5km to summit of Sam mountain, enjoy sun set over the panorama rice fields between Viet Nam and Cambodia. O/N in Chau Doc.

Day 3: Chau Doc - Tri Ton - Can Tho (B,L,D)

Up early for a boat through the amazing riverside market with all its bustling activity and smorgasbord of sounds, colors and smells. Then we cruise through the fish-farm village producing tons and tons of fish beneath hundreds of floating homes. Discover the ethnic Cham village with its famous Mubarak Mosque and observe local women at their traditional weaving. We cycle to Cambodia border with a stop over Tra Su natrual reserve, see Khmer pagoda enroute. O/n in Can Tho.

Day 4: Can Tho - Sai Gon (B,L).

Early morning boat trip to Cai Rang floating market & cruise in natural waterways before turning up a quiet canal and mounting our bikes for a ride 2 hrs in single trails along small canals and in countryside road, enjoying the beautiful Delta scenery and meeting the locals (many on bicycle too). We cross ferry and more riding on immense rice fields, cycling through numerous rural riverside villages. Lunch break at local place. Our van will pick up for tranfer to HCM city. End of tour.
