@puzzzled2010 Hey, how are you doing? Yes, I do remember Word Jazz -- Ken Nordine, if i'm not mistaken.

@tourshot hey Roger - cuz !!! I still have Blue Victory in my collection ... and still love it much better than the slower side! (you remember Word Jazz???)

@tourshot Thank you very much for listing the group info. I once ran into a guy who claimed to be an original in this group. Although I did not believe him, I couldn't prove otherwise. You guys did a wonderful job with your recordings and your sound was awesomely unique. I wonder how many guys are still around?

@whitedoowopcollector Actually, the group was mixed - 2 African-Americans (Tommy Brown and Bill Adair) and 2 whites (Roger Bruno and Felix DeMasi) Roger Bruno was lead singer. I know this because I'm Roger Bruno. We were the original Meridians who recorded Have You Forgotten and Blue Victory

I heard this on the old Doo Wop Shop.
Parnaso Records. LOL. "Parnaso" means "income" in Hebrew. I hope it make the owner at bit.

That's funny. Although this record is the original pressing, it's technically a bootleg. The group recorded this back in '62 and it was released in '65 without the group's consent.

@PJDooWop Hi, I'm Roger Bruno, lead singer of the Meridians who recorded Blue Victory and Have You Forgotten (see posting below). The record was in fact released with the group's consent, and we toured in support of it.

Interesting stuff. Thanks for the clarification. I got a slightly different story from someone that states he was in the first incarnation of The Meridians, which is where my info came from
